Lana is an amazingly sweet little girl. She loves all adults and all dogs - in fact she seems happiest with other dogs in the home. She has not been tested as of yet with small children but does well with older, considerate children. She is a bit shy to start with when getting to know new people, and is not fond of the car but she will open up and when she does she adores sitting in your lap and cuddling with you in bed at night. Based on the freckles on her skin it seems that she was outside for a lot of her life, her teeth are in excellent shape, very pretty and white. She is also RELIABLY POTTY TRAINED! Having said that, if you are gone for 8-12 hours a day and have not given her the proper amount of time to releive herself prior to your leaving, you should expect a potty accident. This is just common sense. She is not kenneled in her foster home but does do well with staying in a kennel and will willingly go in if you tell her to.
WLCCAR has been able to get Lana's weigh and allergic reactions under control. When she arrived at the shelter in Fredericksburg, VA her skin was infected and her ears were swollen shut. The shelter immediately put her in a foster home and started her on medication; when WLCCAR got her her ears were still very swollen and infected however they were no longer swollen shut. She is currently doing well and we have her on grain free food with an appropriate protein source.
We have had Lana allergy tested and while she is allergic to many things, they are all manageable for a loving and caring owner. Please see the allergy test results below the following additional information in the Foster Report.
